What do I do?
Bushcraft
I teach and demonstrate ancient Bushcraft techniques including things you may have heard of but perhaps haven't seen before. For example did you know...
As well as Bushcraft I also teach wilderness Survival skills which use modern knowledge and equipment to stay alive and comfortable, much of which is used by soldiers and crashed aircrew.
This includes:
"Womblecraft"
As the song goes... "Making good use of the things that we find, things that the everyday folks leave behind"
We are encouraged to reuse and recycle waste, but did you know you can easily use some waste and unwanted items to keep you alive? for example you can:
Handbag Survival
Here's one for the Girls (or guys that carry a "Man-bag")
you won't believe how many useful things you can improvise from the average handbag contents, and you don't need to be in the wild to use them!
Improvised items include:
Team Building and Icebreakers
From the above activities I will devise team-building sessions to suit your particular needs/interests. If you can provide a patch of grass or bare ground then I will provide fun safe demonstrations and hands-on teaching to suit all ages and abilities. I am more than happy to run a short free demonstration in order for you to see if what I do suits your requirements.

I teach and demonstrate ancient Bushcraft techniques including things you may have heard of but perhaps haven't seen before. For example did you know...
- Some plants we loathe such as Stinging nettles, were highly valued in the past (and even exported). I can show you that not only can you eat them, but you can make string with them too.
- You really can light a fire by rubbing sticks together like people 400 or even 4000 years ago.
- Trees you will recognise have some surprising uses like soap and string.
- Wild food can be safe and even tasty, I can show you which ones (particular care should always be taken in this area of Bushcraft).
- How to make simple tools from Flint.
- It Is possible to make a cosy shelter and even a comfy bed in the wild.
As well as Bushcraft I also teach wilderness Survival skills which use modern knowledge and equipment to stay alive and comfortable, much of which is used by soldiers and crashed aircrew.
This includes:
- Making a real ejection seat parachute into a shelter.
- How to signal for help.
- How to find and clean water to drink.
- How to make a comfortable shelter from various materials.
- What equipment do jet pilots and astronauts use after an emergency landing to survive?
- How you can make your own survival kit for a lot less money than a shop bought version.
